I'm Working on a Project!

Yay! I'm doing a web thing for a guy! It's gonna earn me some money, and it's already earned me some useful new skills. On top of all that, it's actually a worthy project with positive goals, started by what appears to be a motivated dude that's probably gonna just go right ahead and turn it into something big!

It's built upon the open-source WordPress blogging and content management engine, written in PHP. While I'm generally a Python guy these days, I've been rather impressed by WordPress thus far, and look forward to seeing just what all it's really capable of.

I won't say much more about it just yet, but keep an eye on this post for more details as the project nears the big grand-opening day. I'll announce it right here the very instant it's ready to start accepting new members.

Welcome to the Alien-Ideas Project!

This here is my first Journal entry in my shiny new Nikola-powered website. Right now it's less than exciting, but this post will eventually be all about how I did it, and how you can too! It's not as complex as you might guess, thanks to the magic of Nikola!

In the meantime, you should totally read more about Nikola if you're interested in easily making a site similar to this one yourself. (In case you hadn't yet guessed, I'm kinda keen on Nikola. It's pretty slick!)
